it / Zanzzzzare è un installazione multimediale di Giovanni Longo che prevede la proiezione di un ambiente popolato da zanzare (un piccolo disegno dell’artista). L’habitat che si viene a creare prevede un ciclo vitale dove 3 zanzare proliferano fino a 500 in 6 minuti e in altrettanti “muoiono” fino a ritornare 3. Di tale contesto il fruitore, frapponendosi tra proiettore e proiezione, può diventare parte attiva lasciandosi coinvolgere dalle stimolazioni audio-visive ipnotiche che si trova di fronte.
L’opera è regolata da un programma interamente realizzato in linguaggio java che permette la parametrizzazione di molteplici fattori quali il numero delle zanzare generatrici, il numero di proliferazioni, la velocità, il tipo di moto delle zanzare e l’audio progressivo che portano, quindi, a riprodurre in maniera totalmente artificiale un evento naturale. en / Mozzzzzquitoes is a multimedia installation projecting on a wall an environment populated by mosquitoes (a small draw of the artist). The habitat created shows a life cycle where a number of three mosquitoes proliferate until getting the number of five hundreds in six minute lapse and die in equal time until coming back to the number of three elements again. In this context, the observer interposed between the projector and the projection becomes an active part of the exhibition directly involved by the audiovisual hypnotic stimulations.
This artwork by Giovanni Longo is entirely realized in Java Programme Language which provides the exact parameterization of multiple factors such as the number of generator mosquitoes, the number of proliferations, their velocity, the motion type of the mosquitoes and the progressing sound recording, all these elements put together in order to reproduce in a total artificious way, a natural event.
